Description
Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a wood-based sheet panel made from wood fibers glued together with synthetic resin adhesives, since it was first introduced in Europe in 1973 it has been accepted by the furniture industry as an alternative to solid wood for panels and components.
Machinability and ease of finishing are some of the premium properties produced from MDF. The surface is flat, smooth, solid, and free from grain patterns, making the finishing operation easier and perfect. The homogeneous texture of MDF allows it to be easily printed, embossed, profiled, routed, painted, laminated, coated, or printed.
Its use is very economical due to its availability in large sheet sizes, which allows optimal results so that wasted waste will be reduced.
This MDF board is increasingly being used for interior design and building applications. The applications range from furniture (indoor/outdoor), doors and drawer fronts, shelving and storage units, hi-fi TVs and cabinets, toys, mirror frames, picture frames, and plaques, etc.
